Having performed music from blues to "punk" swing, jazz to "acid" jazz and more, Glen Doll is particularly devoted to pushing musical boundaries. A master of the harmonica, he refined his chops playing the blues especially as influenced by Paul Butterfield, Sonny Terry and James Cotton.  Nevertheless, he hasn't been content to duplicate the "harp" sounds developed fifty years ago in Chicago. "Guys like Little Walter were brilliant, but that doesn't mean everyone should try to sound like any of them all these years later."  In his playing and, most recently, singing and song writing, Doll has developed music imbued with the blues without being imitative or repetitive of the past.

Some of Doll's more notable appearances as a performer have included a series of reunion concerts with the Strawberry Alarm Clock (of Incense & Peppermints fame).  His gutsy harmonica solos were enthusiastically received, even if they puzzled folks who "didn't remember that on the recordings".

Playing around his home town of Los Angeles, Doll has had the opportunity to play with such notables as Bonnie Raitt, Keb' Mo' and, most recently, the legendary Linda Hopkins.

He was also the last harmonica player featured by the late L.A. underground blues legend, J.J. "Bad Boy" Jones.
